Kira began figure skating at age seven and by 18, was a featured performer in the Ice Capades where she spent several years performing in major venues from Madison Square Garden in New York City, to Montreal and Toronto to Los Angeles. Many other ice shows followed, including an extended stay in Las Vegas. Throughout the years, Kira has been a figure skating instructor and choreographer.

A natural curiousity led Kira to a belly dance class where it was love at first shimmy! She went on to study several styles of belly dance with notable instructors. Kira has perfomed American Cabaret and Egyptian belly dance with a large troupe, and gothic and tribal fusion belly dance with a duet partner and as a soloist. Kira is also a belly dance instructor, teaching many students at her local YMCA, park districts and Studio Viva. Her love and passion for the creative freedom of tribal fusion belly dance has inspired her to form MidNight Tribe.

When she's not dancing, Kira has a crochet hook in her hands. She designs and creates unique costumes for tribal dancers as Dark Eye Design.
